D1 West Power Rankings – Week 1
D1 West
With the removal of the rule that players could play East and West, all overlap of divisions is gone. As a result, some teams strengthened and some got significantly weaker. Some new and old faces bless the ranks of ACL West in what is shaping up to be a great season.
1. Cracks Nation
Cracks Nation is back?! After a very forgettable season last year, Cracks has rebounded very well and find themselves back at the top of West as the only perfect team left. Most goals scored, 4th fewest conceded, this team might be back and primed to challenge for the West crown this season.
2. Impact X
One of the teams coming over from East, Impact X have started well picking up 9 points and holding a +9 goal differential. This team is outstanding attacking-wise and should make any team nervous to see them on the calendar.
3.Sons of God
Another team on 9 points with a very stout defense, Sons of God are newcomers to the league but are certainly not playing like it. Can they keep this form up the rest of the season?
4.Bazukazos
With numerous players from the old 06 Society Team, this team is using their experience to start the season off strong. Expect this team to make a deep playoff run this season.
5.Untouchables XI
Giving Untouchables a slight boost relative to their placement in the table due to how they have played. While they have not lost, 3 draws is the most in the division and just need that final little push to get them across the line in matches so far. With a +6 goal differential, there isn’t much cause for concern that they will land up in a top 5 seed this season.
6.Uncs FC
A +1 goal difference isn’t a great start, but the Uncs find themselves on 7 points, good for 6th in the table. A big win over Famous XI will be a huge confidence boost going forward.
7.Famous XI
Another slight bump in the rankings for Famous. A team that is definitely weakened by the ending of East/West merging, Famous have started well. They are getting punished by dumb mistakes and find themselves with only 6 points so far as a result.
8.Magic X
The biggest losers of the power rankings, playoff team Magic X are on 7 points with only a +1 goal differential. While the season is still young, conceding 9 goals in 4 games is an unsustainable amount if you want to be going deep into the post-season.
9.Warriors FC
The only team in the bottom 6 with a positive goal differential, Warriors FC could very easily be on 6 points or more. I would expect this team and their attack to pull off some surprise results and maybe sneak their way into a top 8 seed by season’s end.
10.Los Cherrys
While on 6 points, 3 goals scored is not going to cut it simply put. This team needs attacking help and badly.
11.Eternal Legion e-Sports
Eternal Legion have battled to start this season, with two close losses and a draw. If their attack can get going, they may be able to pull a few upsets this season.
12.Mercenarios XI
Putting them just ahead of Los Boyz and Cero Tecnica due to having at least one point, this team has the most goals conceded in West with only 2 scored. The alarm bells should be ringing for them right now.
13.Los Boyz
One of two teams still searching for their first point, Los Boyz have plenty of experienced players who should help them climb the table. Hopefully it isn’t at a point where it’s too late to make a real playoff push.
14.Cero Tecnica
Poor Chamuko. PC is back, the club is back and they don’t have any points. Expect this team to get at least a couple points this week.
