D2B East Power Rankings – Week 1

D2B East

While almost every team in D2A had a negative goal differential, D2B only has 4 teams with that same marker. Every team is performing, and winning by sizable margins. There are at least 10 teams with the requisite amount of points to make the top 8. Time will tell who will come out on top in this division.

1. ColdGame FC

A newcomer to ACL, Coldgame sits top of the table with a +5 goal differential and 10 points. An encouraging start for any team, let alone a new team.

2.Renegade FC

After some time off, Renegade has come back and had a great first week with a division-best +5 Goal Differential and with only one loss to a top 8 team, Lacritas. A strong defense should make this team formidable during this season.

3.Cooked

Another new team to ACL, Cooked sit in second in ACL with 10 points and a +4 Goal Difference. While it remains to be seen if they can keep this form, this is a great start.

4.Los Del Sol

While they may be 5th on the table, Los Del Sol boast the top attack in D2B with 11 goals scored. While their defense may need some help, conceding a staggering 7 goals, this team should be able to fix those issues with ease and climb up the table.

5.Lashups XI

Lashups have had an enjoyable start to the season on 9 points and a +3 goal differential. Their 4 goals conceded is a solid if unspectacular rate while their attack is one of the stronger forces in the division.

6.New Era FC

Giving New Era FC some benefit of the doubt here. This is a playoff-level team and has been for multiple prior seasons, with multiple top 3 finishes. I would expect them to be higher on this list come next week. Either way, 7th place with a positive goal differential and in the top 8 is never a bad start.

7.Viltrume

Another strong attacking team. Viltrume have scored 9 goals, good for second best, but with 7 goals conceded there will need to be some improvement on that end. Time will tell if their play will level out on both sides of the ball.

8.Lacritas

Top 8 with a +2 goal difference isn’t a bad start, especially with a huge win over Renegade FC. They need to find a way to be more consistent though, as one game they can look like title challengers, and another game look like relegation fodder.

9.Pro Union

Another playoff-level team. Although in 10th, there is no issue with their attack, scoring 8 goals. However, this was never the issue with them. Their defense remains their weak point and likely the reason they are dropping points. This team absolutely needs to figure out their defensive woes or it could be a long season.

10.No Skills Needed

One of the more weird teams to rank. On one hand, they’ve only conceded 3 goals, good for 2nd best. On the other hand, they have scored only 4 goals, good for 3rd worst. Neither side is sustainable and while they are in 9th currently on a tiebreaker, their attack needs to improve dramatically for any hope of making playoffs.

11.Fearless XI

4 points in 4 games will get you near playoff contention, albeit probably not over the hump to steal a top 8 spot. Their attack looks good enough to win games, but keeping the ball out of the net looks to be a problem for them.

12.Calle Futbol

Similar to Fearless XI, but with a point less. 8 goals scored is good enough, but 8 goals conceded certainly is not.

13.Jailers

Only 5 goals scored in 4 games isn’t good enough pace and with 8 goals conceded, a competent attack could bury this team quickly.

14.Notorious XI

Some context would benefit Notorious XI here. On their side, they are pending a reschedule with Valsenal and have only conceded 3 goals in 3 games. Going against them is the fact that they have not scored a single goal in 3 games. We’ll see what happens next with this team.

15.Club Hondumex

A dismal start for Club Hondumex. 3 goals scored to 14 conceded is a recipe for disaster.

16.Valsenal CF

One of only two teams without a point, Valsenal have conceded 16 goals already and have only played 3 games. That is simply not good enough.
