D3 East Power Rankings – Week 1
D3 East
It’s so nice to have D3 back! After a season off, 12 teams enter the division looking for a shot at the trophy and a chance at promotion to D2. This is a 20 game league before playoffs, so results are of the utmost importance.
1.La Mastilla
An incredible 17 goals scored and a +12 goal differential is a fantastic way to start the season. Consider them the favorite to win it all until further notice.
2.United Kings
A former D1 West team, United Kings is trying their hand in East and are off to a great start with a +10 goal differential. Their experience alone should help them in big moments and the playoffs also.
3.America Titans
After La Mastilla and United Kings, there is a notable drop in statistics, with the next 7 teams in the table all varying between -2 and +2 goal differences. America Titans have the 2nd most goals scored of that group which is usually a good indication of how a team will perform the rest of the way. Can their defense stiffen up and provide a challenge to the top two teams?
4.Section 80
For 3 wins and 0 goal difference, their loss must have been ugly. Outside of that, this team is getting results even without scoring too many goals. Will their defense be able to hold up while their attack finds their footing?
5.Rojiblancos FC
On 7 points with a +2 goal differential, Rojiblancos should be happy with how their season has started. A solid attack and a good enough defense should be good enough to see them as a top 4 seed in playoffs.
6.Tecolote FC
A high powered attack offset by a struggling defense. These teams usually can do well in the regular season but certainly struggle in the postseason. While it’s early, Tecolote should be looking for improvements on the defensive side of the ball at the window.
7.La salsa fc
5 goals conceded isn’t a bad rate, but 4 goals scored is. With how few teams there are in D3, this may be good enough to claim a top 8 spot but could present serious troubles at playoff time.
8.Inazuma Eagles
The best team 4 points with a positive goal difference, I would imagine this team starts getting more results and climbing the table this week.
9.East Clan
A returning team, East Clan should fare better than what they are currently. Similar to Inazuma Eagles, I would imagine this team makes a push into the top 8 within a week or two.
10.Ol Razzle Dazzle
9 goals conceded with only 5 scored is cause for concern, but they do have an outside chance at the top 8 assuming some results go their way in the other fixtures this week.
11.Zamora
One of two teams on 0 points, Zamora has scored 7 goals to their credit. However, 19 goals conceded is certainly not a rate they would like to continue at.
12.Elites eSports
The other team on 0 points, Elites have yet to score a goal and have conceded 10. This season could run away from them quickly.
