MLPC League Rules


Hosts & Streams

  • Hosts must be approved by the MLPC leadership team prior to the start of the season
    • Only approved hosts may be used
  • Both teams are required to have at least one non-GK stream during all league games
    • Streams must be archived
    • Streamers must be reported to the MLPC leadership team prior to use

Updating Hosts / Streamers
If changes to your approved hosts or streamers are required, a ticket must be opened in the Discord server.
Failure to update your team’s information may result in administrative action by League Leadership.


Roster & Lineup Rules

  • Maximum Roster Size: 24 players (including managers)
  • Free Releases:
    • 10 free releases per team per season
    • Additional releases may be purchased once per season per manager
    • Returning managers receive 5 additional preseason-only releases
      • These releases are non-transferable
  • Player signings and releases are only authorized during Transfer Windows
    • Emergency signings are a Manager Pro perk and may also be purchased individually
    • Any player wishing to be released outside of a transfer window must complete a Player Contract Buyout
  • Players may only be released twice per season
    • Once a player has signed for their third team in a season, they are locked to that roster for the remainder of the season
  • Rosters are locked for signings and releases during all playoff and tournament periods

Game & Connection Rules

  • The home team sends the invite
    (Home / Away is shown on the website)
  • If your team has an EU player, you lose hosting privileges for any matches that player participates in
    • If both teams have EU players, the normal Home / Away process applies
    • Teams found not reporting EU players and hosting risk disciplinary action, including league removal and managerial bans
  • You must play with a minimum of 8 players
    • If you have fewer than 11 players, you must use an ANY
  • GK is required
  • Live subs are NOT permitted
    • If an opponent initiates a live sub (even if not completed), clip the action, leave the match immediately, and open a ticket to claim FF
  • No standing in goal, at the posts, or interfering with the GK on free kicks or corners
  • Any team found intentionally glitching the game in any way will be reviewed and may be banned from MLPC

Grace Period

  • 5-minute grace period maximum
    • Must be called prior to the scheduled start time
    • Requesting grace for Game 1 does not automatically apply to Game 2
    • Grace must be called individually for each game
      • Otherwise, the expectation is for Game 2 to kick off at its scheduled time (e.g., 8:30)

Stalling Rules

To claim stalling, you must show one of the following:

A) Home Team

  • You requested the opponent’s team name prior to:
    • 8:00 / 8:30 (no grace)
    • 8:05 / 8:30 (grace)
  • You did not receive the team name prior to:
    • 8:01 / 8:31 (no grace)
    • 8:06 / 8:36 (grace)

B) Away Team

  • You sent the opponent your team name prior to:
    • 8:00 / 8:30 (no grace)
    • 8:05 / 8:35 (grace)
  • You did not receive the game invite or a confirmation message (“sent”) prior to:
    • 8:01 / 8:31 (no grace)
    • 8:06 / 8:36 (grace)

Resetting & Lost Players (Connection Issues)

  • Each team is allowed one reset to address connection issues
    • Once your reset is used and a connection issue persists, the match must be played
  • Once 5 in-game minutes have passed, backing out is not permitted

EA Server Glitch (Multiple Players Kicked at Once)

Four or more players must be kicked across BOTH teams at the same time for this to apply:

  • 0–15 minutes:
    • Immediate reset
    • Full game replayed
    • Any goals scored do not count
  • 15–65 minutes:
    • Immediate back out
    • Replay the remaining time
    • Any goals scored prior count
  • 65+ minutes:
    • Play remainder of the game
    • No back out permitted

Note:

  • No substitutions are allowed for players lost during a glitch
  • The purpose is to ensure competitive integrity without EA determining outcomes
  • Managers must communicate immediately if this occurs and begin restart procedures ASAP

Stats Input

  • Match stats must be entered in full by all MLPC teams across all divisions
  • Deadline: No later than 9:00 PM EST the day after matches
