D3 East Power Rankings – Week 2
1. Marauders
While not top of the table, Marauders have only allowed 1 goal and scored 15, leading to an impressive +14 goal difference, good for 2nd in the league. No losses through 8 games is also an impressive feat. Defense wins championships, and Marauders seem to have a great one.
2. Licea Gaming X
While they were found guilty of an improper build and had an entire games worth of stats invalidated, Licea still has scored 20 goals, best in the league and only allowed 4. This team is scoring at an unreal clip, and should continue to steamroll teams going forward.
3. All For One XI
The current league leaders, All For One has scored 11 goals, tied for last amongst all playoff teams, but has only conceded 3, best for second in the division. This team should continue to grind out results behind a stout defense while their attack continues to gel.
4. Murder FC
One of 3 teams on 16 points, Murder FC boasts the best goal difference of the bunch, to go with the best attack and best defense of the three. They have also already played Licea and All for One once, and should have a slightly easier road ahead.
5. Composed XI
The middle of the three teams on 16 points, Composed XI has scored 14 goals and allowed 8. As long as their defense tightens up, this team should be able to keep producing wins behind a strong attack.
6. FwC CF eSports
The final of the three teams on 16 points, FwC has allowed 7, but has only scored 12 goals so far. Playing All For One to a 1-0 defeat provides a good litmus test of how good this team can be. This is a wide open D3 this season, and realistically anyone in the top 8 can beat each other on any day.
7. Damascus
Sitting in 7th place is Damascus on 13 points. A +5 goal difference is an encouraging start to the season. Currently 2 points clear of 9th place, this team is on a good run of form and should hold on to this spot for the foreseeable future.
8. TD Canada
The other team on 13 points, TD Canada has a +4 goal difference, but has a win over Damascus and only lost 1-0 to All For One XI. The attack will need to score more goals if this team is to stay in the top 8.
9. Dochas FC
A +7 goal difference is better than at least 4 teams in the playoffs alone, but have been marred by 2 draws. If either of those two draws turn into a win, they would be sitting in the playoffs. Dochas can only hope for a little more luck the rest of the way from here.
10. Insanity X
On 9 points, Insanity has scored an exceptional 22 goals in 8 games, best in the league. The only problem is, they’ve conceded 15, tied for 4th worst in the league. If this team can stop conceding goals, look out for them to not only make the playoffs, but put up a lot of points during.
11. The Boyz FC
Another team on 9 points, The Boyz have the second worst goal difference in the league at -18, but are only 4 points off a playoff spot through two weeks. 23 goals allowed is not a recipe for success, and they will need to turn that around fast if they want any hope of making the playoffs.
12. Recebaa FC
Recebaa has had the misfortune of playing almost every playoff team so far and has a -2 goal difference to show for it, and 8 points. This team is better than what their record suggests. Expect them to move up the table this upcoming week.
13. Union
Another team on a -2 goal difference, they are keeping games close, but need to find that winning spark to turn around their season. Who is going to answer the call for them?
14. Rush Superstars
22 goals conceded to 5 against puts them nearly on par with The Boyz FC but at 5 points worse. This team needs significant help on both sides of the pitch, or it is going to be an extremely long season for them.
15. Too Much Sauce
While two draws are important, this team has only scored 4 goals in 8 games. Something needs to change up top before the season gets away from them.
16. Windsor
Windsor forfeited a few games last week and sit at last place at 1 point through 8 games.
