D2B East

1. New Era FC

After coming close to promotion last year, New Era FC have come back stronger than ever. A ridiculous 4 goals conceded is easily best across all of ACL, and 22 goals scored is good for 5th most in the division. Defense wins championships, and this defense might carry them all the way to D1.

2. Malditos Genios

A new team to ACL, Malditos Genios sit in second with only a +7 goal differential, proving they can win close games with the best of them. While 17 goals is second most conceded, this team is scoring enough to continue to get results.

3. Dochas FC

While not scoring for fun like they did in D3, Dochas FC is preventing goals and scoring plenty to get the job done. 8 goals conceded is outstanding and they are carrying the momentum they had at the end of last season to a great start so far in D2B.

4. Insanity X

One thing about Insanity is that they are going to score a ton of goals. While they missed out on D3 playoffs last year, they were near the top of the league in goals scored. If their defense can get sorted out, this has potential to be one of the best teams in D2.

5. Trojan XIX

It seems odd for a team to have a +21 goal difference (best in D2B) and sit in 6th place, but that’s where Trojan lands. These types teams usually level out and charge up the table, especially when you only concede at a rate of .75 goals/game.

6. Pro Union

Pro Union is on 25 points, only 3 points off second, but have a +8 goal differential, the 5th best in D2B. As long as they continue to win games and avoid crushing losses/draws, they won’t care how they get into the playoffs.

7. Composed XI

Last season’s D3 East champs have had a slower start than expected in D2, especially compared to Insanity and Dochas, but they are still in a playoff spot. This team did not start especially great last year but still won everything at the end, so expect them to get hot in the second half of the season, especially when the games get more important.

8. Lacritas

While Lacritas do not currently sit in a playoff spot, they have scored the second most goals at 31. This team is too good to not make a playoff spot, and would expect them to be in a top 8 spot by the transfer window.

9. Cougars SC

Definitely a regression between seasons from Cougars, who held a top seed in D2 last season. A +3 goal differential and 13 goals scored is the worst among the top 8. Their defense will need to continue to carry and get results until their attack comes to life.

10. Sips FC

Draws are killing Sips FC, with a Division-high 4 draws, totaling 8 dropped points in those games alone. If they can convert these close games into wins, they might be able to find themselves in a playoff spot sooner rather than later.

11. San Sharti CF

San Sharti’s play in East has not exactly mirrored their play in West. While their goal metrics are similar, 7 losses in 12 games is not a recipe for success. Can they fix up in East and make a playoff charge?

12. S.I.N. (East)

Similar to West, S.I.N. have a big defensive problem on their hands, with 22 goals conceded. This is 3rd worst in the division, and needs to be corrected if they want to have any hope of making the playoffs.

13. Cholos FC

Cholos have struggled heading into D2, sitting on 9 points and holding a -7 goal difference. They need to turn it around before the playoffs become a distant dream.

14. CC FC2

CC FC2 holds the worst defensive record in D2A, with 27 goals conceded. Their -18 goal difference is also the worst in the division. Hopefully they can make some adjustments in the upcoming window.

15. Samba VZ

Samba VZ holds the third worst defensive record in the division and sits on 8 points. Expect their manager to make some signings and try to get closer to a playoff spot.

16. Dont Mata FC

Dont Mata FC have 4 draws to their name and only a -6 goal differential, even in 16th place. This team is definitely better than their placement suggests, and they should be able to get a few more results this season.

17. Inferno XI

Inferno XI have also conceded 27 goals to only 8 scored. D2 East is not an easy place to start in, and they are learning that quickly.
