D1 East
1. Holicz
Currently top of the league and in the power rankings, leading almost every metric. Holicz boasts an incredible 34 goals scored, and 11 conceded, best for 2nd in the entire division. Big matches against Fatal and Virtual talent will prove how good this team really is.
2. NoHardFeelings
Continuing their fine run of regular season form from last year, NoHardFeelings find themselves in second, one point away from Holicz. Led by an astute defense, expect this team to be near the top all season and look to reverse their playoff fortunes from last season.
3. Virtual Talent
The former champions find themselves in 4th currently on 25 points. Another team with 11 goals conceded, a win against Holicz on Tuesday could get them back near the top of the league.
4. LA United
While in 3rd in the table, LA United’s opening schedule has been admittedly a little weak, playing only a couple of the top 8 teams. One thing that is going right for them this season is the amount of goals scored, nearly eclipsing their full season total from last season. They have used the momentum from late last season, culminated it into a D1 Unified title and are well on their way back to the playoffs this season.
5. Fatal XI
Ever-consistent Fatal find themselves in the 5 seed currently, right where they usually sit. 12 goals conceded is impressive, but the attack needs a boost. Only 17 goals scored across 10 games is tied for worst in the top 8. However, there is arguably no better team at grinding results out than Fatal, which always bodes well in the playoffs.
6. Galacticos
Similar to Fatal, Galacticos are led by an astute defense. Their 8 goals conceded are the best in the division with a solid +12 Goal Differential. For as good as their defense has been, they only sit on 21 points after 12 games. Their attack will need to step it up if this team wants to climb up the leaderboards.
7. Prolific
After taking a few seasons off, Prolific is back in Division 1 and back in a playoff spot, currently in 8th on goal differential. This team is still finding it’s footing after an extended amount of time off, but is on a good run of form currently.
8. Santa Muerte
Rebranding from Azteca, Santa Muerte has rebounded very nicely after a disappointing first season in Division 1. Currently in a playoff spot after 12 games, this team is playing well. However, 16 goals conceded is the most in the top 8 and will be a point of concern, especially with the window nearing.
9. Impact X
Perfectly balanced at 4 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses, Impact is only 3 points out of a playoff spot. 18 goals conceded is concerning, but they are still close to a playoff spot. Can this team be the next LA United to take momentum and make a deep run?
10. Mythic XI
Mythic is 6 points off a playoff spot currently, with a -4 Goal Difference. They have a hard schedule to start, but it remains seen if they can beat some of the weaker competition to climb up the table.
11. Cracks Nation
Former West finalists Cracks nation have made the move into East with a tough run of it so far. There is a sizable gap in talent between the two divisions as they are learning now. I have faith that this team could make a playoff push later on with some big signings in the window.
12. Beangers
Beangers have had a slight fall the past few seasons, finding themselves in 11th on the table with 21 goals conceded, second worst in the division. This team needs improvement on both sides of the ball, or this season will be over and quick.
13. Vamos Futbol
D1 newcomers Vamos have had an unwelcoming arrival to the division. 7 goals scored is low, especially in relation to the 20 goals conceded.
14. NY Bulls
One of three teams on 9 points, NY Bulls haven’t had the best time re-integrating into Division 1, including taking a forfeit loss last week. This team should improve over the course of the season, but remains to see how much they will improve.
15. Most Hated
Most Hated have had an immense fall from grace, from the playoffs last season to finding themselves in a relegation battle. There is thankfully plenty of time left in the season, but this team needs to find solutions, and quickly.
16. No Name XI
D2 East winners No Name XI find themselves on 9 points after 12 games and are seeing how brutal the gap between D2 and D1 is. Being stuck in the bottom D1/upper D2 portion of ACL is a brutal and unforgiving cycle.
17. Vikings
Last season, Vikings were the biggest surprise in ACL, making the playoffs. This season has been one of the biggest falls from grace we’ve ever seen, as Vikings are currently in 17th place, 1 point off the bottom.
18. Collective FC
The other team to come up from D2, Collective sit in last place with the fewest goals scored and most conceded. Similar to No Name XI, Collective is seeing how brutal the cycle is from promoting and relegating between D1 and D2.
