D1 East Power Rankings – V3

D1 East

1. Holicz (clinched)

Holicz still sit at the top of the table on Goal Differential and have continued their stellar play throughout the entire season. A huge win last week over Fatal shows just how strong they are, and should be a favorite to win the East.

2. Fatal XI (clinched)

Fatal is getting hot at the right time again and look poised to make another deep playoff run. While they may have lost to Holicz last week, they did beat 2nd place NoHardFeelings. Could they steal the first seed in the final week?

3. NoHardFeelings (clinched)

NoHardFeelings have been consistently good all season, matching Holicz stride for stride. Their defense has been the best in the division so far and this is yet another team to look out for in the playoffs.

4. Virtual Talent (clinched)

One of five teams to clinch a playoff spot, former champions Virtual Talent should feel good about the spot they are in with a week left. It would take a severe drop to move them out of the top 5 and have a great shot at a home series in the playoffs. I’ve given them the edge over LA United in part to a notably better defense.

5. LA United (clinched)

The final team so far to clinch a playoff spot, LA United have made a deep run from a lower seed before and will look to do so again this season. Their attack has come to life, tallying 64 goals in 30 games. If their defense can improve, look out for LA United to make another deep run in a bid to go back to back.

6. Prolific

Prolific find themselves back in a playoff spot by 3 points with their attack finally picking up the pace to match their impressive defense. Their experience should help them clinch a playoff spot and possibly pull an upset in the first round.

7. Impact X

One point clear of Impact, their attack and defense have been middling at best, with both their goals scored and conceded worst out of the top 8. They sit 4 points above 9th, but face a huge test against 9th place Santa Muerte in a bid to keep a playoff spot. Can they close out the season strong?

8. Galacticos

Galacticos are desperately clinging to a playoff spot and will need every point they can this week to ensure back to back playoff bids. They do have a game in hand on 9th and face a huge matchup against Mythic XI to try and create more distance from the non-qualifying teams.

9. Santa Muerte

This is the time to put up or shut up for Santa Muerte. They’ve had a significantly better season in East after their rebrand and sit even on points with 8th. They have multiple matchups this week with teams close to their seeding and will need to give it their all to have a shot.

10. Mythic XI

Mythic will also need to make the most of their game in hand, in addition to nearly winning out the rest of the way. As it stands, they are 5 points back of 8th and will need their offense to really pick up the slack to close out the season.

11. Beangers

While not fully eliminated yet, Beangers would need a miracle to qualify for playoffs this season, essentially winning out and getting some results in their favor. If they don’t make it, this team should rebound nicely come next season and would expect to be a playoff hopeful.

12. No Name XI (eliminated)

The first of the eliminated teams, No Name XI sit in 13th and have had an unpleasant welcome back to Division 1. However, this team is more than likely safe from relegation and will live to fight another season in the hardest division in American Pro Clubs.

13. Vikings (eliminated)

Vikings have come crashing back down to Earth this season, after taking a playoff spot last season. This team has battled a lot of controversy and will be glad to stay another season in Division 1 East, should they choose to come back.

14. Vamos Futbol (eliminated)

Vamos have been around this spot all season, with their first season in Division 1 proving challenging for them. They should avoid relegation and will look to re-tool their roster in a bid to finish higher up the table next season.

15. Collective FC (eliminated)

A small improvement from Collective FC to close the season. They will be in a dogfight with NY Bulls to avoid relegation and will hope to make the promotion/relegation game.

16. NY Bulls (eliminated)

A crushing 3-0 loss to Collective puts them even on points, but ahead on goal differential. This last week will mean everything for their future. Can they avoid relegation and at least make the promotion/relegation game?

17. Most Hated (eliminated)

Truly a season to forget for Most Hated, going from East finalists to essentially folding within a season. Who knows what the future will hold for this storied club.

18. Cracks Nation (eliminated)

Seemingly folded, and a very sad finish to what should have been a hopeful season in both divisions for Cracks. Another club who will find themselves at a crossroads next season.
