VCL D2 Power Rankings – V1
Division 2
A 16 team division always makes things more interesting, and there is already a clear division of top teams and everyone else. While that doesn’t mean everything is set in stone, this division may be settled well before the regular season wraps up.
1.Portu-Goal
While not first in the table, Portu-Goal has been the most dominant team in the division overall. A league-best 17 goals with a 4th best of 5 conceded is excellent and the fact they only have one loss in 6 shows how good they are. It’s even more crazy to consider that there are still two teams higher than them in the table.
2.FC Yasco
Top of the table with an astounding 4 goals conceded in 6 games, FC Yasco have had a fine start to the season. Should they keep this momentum up, they might just be a title favorite in D2.
3.Mallorca
The other team on 16 points, Mallorca has a slightly better attack in terms of goals than FC Yasco, but a slightly worse defense. How far can they go on the heels of their attack this season?
4.NB Rovers
Giving the nod to NB Rovers based on their attacking strength over Kaizen and Fellas. Of the three teams on 13 points, NB Rovers have the strongest attack, second best in the entire league. While 9 goals conceded is more than their usual, this team should have no issue keeping pace with the rest of the division.
5.Kaizen
The most punishing defensive team in ACL, Kaizen have only scored 8 goals but are keeping pace due to an incredible .5 goals conceded per game average. While it may not be the most sustainable figure, this team will go far solely based off their defense.
6.Fellas
The final team on 13 points, Fellas have the second best attack but the worst defense of the three. A +3 goal differential isn’t exactly great with 1 loss, but they are showing they can grind out games to win. How sustainable is this pace though?
7.Warriors FC
A notable drop off from the top 6 relative to the bottom 10 teams, Warriors are the best of the rest currently. A +3 goal differential with only 7 goals conceded isn’t a bad start to the season, and they should look to keep this pace the rest of the way.
8.Eternal Monkeys
One on hand, they are 10th in the table with a -1 goal differential. However, they have only conceded 4 goals, showing great defensive ability while keeping games close. Their attack desperately needs to figure it out though or else these close games could slip away during the season.
9.No Skill Needed
Another team on 9 points, No Skill Needed are off to a fine start on the year also with 7 goals conceded and a +2 goal differential. What will separate them from the rest of these middling teams, though?
10.Los Del Sol
Another team in the 8 to 9 point range, Los Del Sol also have 7 goals conceded, but a +3 goal difference. Another team that needs to find a way to distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack.
11.Ardhmeria
While on 6 points, they hold a solid +1 goal differential. Their 3 draws are killing them currently, and they need to find a way to close out games to stay in the playoff race.
12.Notorious XI
Notorious find themselves just on the outside of the middle group with 7 points but a -2 goal difference. Their defense needs to improve in order to get some results to go their way or else this season could be over quickly.
13.East Clan
6 goals is decent attacking output but 12 goals conceded are killing them. A common theme of the bottom 4 teams this season.
14.Fusion XI
Another team with decent attacking output but 19 goals conceded is worst in the division. Can they figure a way out to improve?
15.Total 90
0 points and a -12 goal differential isn’t the best way to start, but they should be able to get some points this week.
16.Unitedly Broke
2 goals scored is the worst output in the league, while 18 goals conceded is second-worst in the division. Hopefully this team can improve or else this season could be over for them as soon as this week.
